Kyle Hofmann

Kyle is Vice President & General Counsel at Fortra. He brings significant in-house and private practice experience in international and domestic settings. As General Counsel Kyle manages global legal affairs, providing strategic legal guidance for the company’s efforts in mergers and acquisitions, commercial transactions, intellectual property, data privacy, risk management/insurance, and more. 

Kyle joined Fortra in 2019 following 15 years with telecommunications provider iBasis. There he held leadership roles, most recently as Senior Counsel and Data Protection Officer. Earlier in his career Kyle was a Corporate Associate at Testa, Hurwitz & Thibeault as well as Hutchins, Wheeler & Dittmar.

Kyle holds a J.D. from Boston College Law School and a B.B.A. with a double major in Accounting and Finance from the University of Wisconsin. He is a volunteer attorney at the Children’s Law Center of Minnesota where he offers legal representation for children in the state’s foster care system on a pro bono basis.
