The Latest from Digital Guardian

Digital Guardian's cloud-delivered data protection platform is purpose-built to stop data loss by both insiders and outsiders on Windows, Mac and Linux operating systems. The Digital Guardian Data Protection Platform performs across the corporate network, traditional endpoints, and cloud applications.

Recent product releases include:

  • Digital Guardian Agent 7.7

    • Integration with Microsoft Information Protection (MIP): Microsoft and Digital Guardian customers can use Microsoft’s Information Protection to extend their data protection policy to automatically label and protect files. With the recent release of Digital Guardian Windows Agent, we have introduced an integration with the MIP SDK that allows the Digital Guardian Agent to:

      • Read MIP tags on both unprotected but also MIP protected or encrypted documents

      • Take specific action (log, alert, prompt, block, etc.) based upon these tags

      • Enforce tagging when a document or file is untagged

      • Report on actions for MIP tagged files.

    • Digital Guardian's Agent integration with MIP labeling provides enterprises the ability to view, analyze, educate, control, and investigate users’ labeling practices. This yields a more effective labeling practice, an educated user base, and a reduction in misuse/abuse of the labeling system.

  • Digital Guardian ARC 3.11

    • Digital Guardian Insights Workspace: Digital Guardian recently added a new workspace, Digital Guardian Insights, to give a view into what Digital Guardian DLP did over a user-defined time period to find, understand, and protect sensitive data. Digital Guardian Insights data includes:

      • Triggered alarm counts

      • Non-triggered events to assess potential exposure

      • Virus - # identified as suspicious in your environment (EDR customers only)

      • Classified data movements (What we blocked vs. what wasn’t blocked)

      • Highest data egressed vector - Email, USB, etc. (customer's riskiest type)

      • Top control policies - PII, PHI, Confidential, etc.

  • Digital Guardian Validator 1.3.1

    • With any security solution being able to quickly and accurately triage and disposition alarms boost effectiveness. With the Digital Guardian Validator, customers can dig into alerts and securely collect the actual information that triggered the alarm. These files are stored on a secure location, defined by the customer, to ensure adherence to data protection guidelines. Analysts can view these files to verify violation and tune policies as needed.
