Release Highlights

In an exciting development, our latest DCS Policy Manager 5.0 release introduces on-premises deployment, meaning customers can now support DCS for Windows on their own infrastructure. Notably, this release allows administrators to import legacy configuration files for migration from the Titus Admin Console. But administrators now also have the power to create new configurations and manage all configurations including schema fields and views, policies for data classification, app settings, and targeted user groups. Future releases will extend support to other products in the DCS Suite beyond DSC for Windows.
 
Meanwhile, Fortra's DCS for Windows (On-premises) 5.1 release includes improvements to Smart Regex for detecting Brazilian Cadastro de Pessoas Físicas (CPF) identification numbers, an enhanced user interface to support screen readers, performance optimizations, and various bug fixes.
 
Finally, our wide-ranging Classifier Maintenance Bundle included updates for multiple Classifier components including support for Windows Server 2022, Microsoft Office 2024, and macOS 15, along with improved label integrity checks, support for new auditing event messages, and performance optimizations.

This quarter's product enhancements to Cloud Email Protection include the release of the Financial Campaign Model, which can differentiate attacks from legitimate invoices/statements by detecting messages of a financial nature and those that require immediate action. Also, the Fortra Platform Identity Service has been integrated with the Fortra platform. Lastly, users will experience improved performance on the Cloud Email Gateway, enabling shorter onboarding times.

Release Highlights

PhishLabs releases provide clients with new API endpoints that permit incident details to be returned for multiple incidents and to populate incidents with files. This allows clients to process these requests via API without having to manually visit the PhishLabs Web App. For this release, there have been enhancements made to the Ops workflow to the Incident Data API (IDAPI) which provide a parameter for sub-classifications filtering or clustering; additions to the Incident List View for (FIR) Status Reason & Payload Family; and an Incident Detail View for Status Reason as well. Lastly, the addition of IOC-based searching can leverage CDR (Continuous Detection & Response) interoperability by feeding into the Fortra Cloud Email Protection platform when detecting of Indicators of Compromise (IOCs).
 
The latest PhishLabs Digital Risk Protection (DRP) release includes changes to detection system to circumvent advanced blocking techniques implemented by modern-day phishing pages — ensuring fraudulent sites cannot stay hidden. There is also a strengthened Cloudflare collaboration. By working directly with Cloudflare, PhishLabs has minimized time-to-action and implemented new consumer-facing protection enhancements to drastically reduce the number of phishing victims. Lastly, enhancements to your Web App experience were implemented. This includes new dashboard widgets and filter options to help customers find the data they need faster.

Cobalt Strike 4.10.1 is now available. This is an out of band update to fix issues that were discovered in the 4.10 release:
  • Multiple team server connections that caused client disconnection
  • x86 Beacons with indirect Syscalls crashing on Windows 11
  • WinHTTP Beacons truncating long user agent names
Updates were also made to Mutator Kit to update the docker file to use alpine 3.19, update the scripts to reference the current release of the sleepmask source code, and fix an issue when the kit is installed on Windows with any space in the full path name.

Release Highlights

The Fortra VM Release 7.0.4 updates include enhanced vulnerability details for PCI assessments, offering more comprehensive coverage and faster detection of CPE-based potential vulnerabilities. These vulnerabilities are identifiable by their titles, which begin with their CVE number, and their instance data, which indicates addition based on detected CPE.
 
Key enhancements in this release include improvements to PCI Self Service, such as the auto-generation of AOC reports by default if the scope is completed. Additionally, CPE information has been added to the data section for CPE-detected potential vulnerabilities. Descriptions from the Alert Logic vulnerability library are imported into the Fortra VM vulnerability dictionary, and the link to the help site has been updated to reflect the new directory. Furthermore, the ability to suppress specific CVEs from CPE-based auditing has been enhanced to avoid false positives.
