Users with complex schema environments will be happy to learn that DCS for Windows 5.0 will provide a significantly improved user experience. Our new Preview bar on the Classification Selector dialog and Classification Information bar within Office applications -- including Outlook -- will reinforce the value and sensitivity of content within emails and documents by displaying a concise summary of your selected classification label values.
 
Meanwhile, our DCS Cloud solution has been extended to provide labeling support for PowerPoint within a browser and New Outlook for desktop on both Windows and Mac. Lastly, we've added support for additional PII identifiers in our Data Detection Engine relevant to those in India, Saudi Arabia, Turkey, and the UAE.

SaaS customers of Fortra's Digital Guardian Data Loss Prevention (DLP) who use the messaging app Slack for internal communication can further safeguard their organization's sensitive information by using the new Digital Guardian Slack app. An update to Digital Guardian’s macOS support model ensures customers running the DG Agent for macOS (8.8) agent have the flexibility to continue using the the product on the latest operating system, macOS Sequoia, on the day it was released, September 16, 2024. Additional updates to the Digital Guardian Management Console (8.7) included performance enhancements along with a new tool, Auditor Report, for clearer visibility into organizational policy changes.

We’ve optimized three microlearning and six nanolearning modules for mobile, and added two compliance courses on Quebec Law 25 for both public and private sectors. Plus, you’ll find accessible versions of our OWASP Top 10 and Privacy Essentials courses ready to use.
 
To enhance phishing simulations, we’ve added several new languages to our templates and developed 12 new phishing templates based on real-world scenarios and customer feedback. On the platform side, the improved SMTP dashboard now gives you detailed status updates on email delivery, while the enhanced Campaign Manager lets you easily copy campaigns across environments and provides even more robust reporting features.

Fortra VM Release 7.0.3.0 introduces a new Standard Scan feature. This Standard Scan option is preset with the most utilized VM scan settings. Standard mode allows users to run a scan quickly and easily with these simplified, widely used, predetermined settings.
 
Advanced mode has customizable, in-depth scanning options for organizations with more complex security scans that use custom report auto-generation, business groups, and multiple scanner profiles. Users can toggle between these settings in the user preferences interface.

This quarter’s Alert Logic product releases focus in three areas. First, improvements have been made to our PCI Approved Scanning Vendor (ASV) service that help customize and automate compliance reporting. These updates offer new vulnerability report templates with customer-preferred rating methods, support auto generation of official compliance reports upon scan completion and improve visibility into how close the PCI ASV scan is to being compliant.
 
Second, we have improved incident identification related to our network scans, ensuring incidents are correctly identified from an Alert Logic scan appliance and automatically closed. Finally, several Fortra Managed WAF releases deliver improvements to IP blacklist management and XSS detection, extend file upload inspection capabilities, and add support for local UI login authentication, along with required MFA verification codes during OTP setup.
