Each quarter, we at Fortra get to roll out the fruits of our labors for the past few months. We showcase new features, updates, and even products.
This Release Day features several groundbreaking projects. We’ve broken into the XDR arena and are thrilled to introduce you to our new offering. We’ve issued major releases for over a half-dozen of our flagship products. Last but not least, we’ve launched our very own comprehensive security platform that unites cooperative cutting-edge solutions under a single umbrella. Read more about it here in the news.
Suffice it to say, it has been a very productive few months. The only thing that gets us more excited than introducing you to our latest updates is seeing the creative ways you’ll be leveraging them in the months and years ahead. Our teams have been busy speaking to customers and partners to get insights into what is important to them. We are excited to deliver several new features and functionality across the Fortra portfolio in support of our vision to increase security maturity while decreasing operational burden.
Some notable updates include:
- Extended Detection and Response (XDR) – We’re excited to launch Fortra XDR, which combines technology and 24/7 security expertise to quickly bolster an organization’s security posture. Additionally:
- Fortra XDR extends visibility across the entire IT estate including endpoints, networks, identity, and cloud, as well as third-party vendors and sources.
- The solution combines industry-leading MDR with a lightweight Fortra agent uniquely designed to target endpoint telemetry.
- The resulting managed XDR offers comprehensive coverage and enhanced visibility.
- Managed Detection and Response (MDR) – Alert Logic MDR has released several new features and reports for PCI DSS 4.0 to simplify efforts in demonstrating compliance with the new requirements. Additionally:
- All Alert Logic customers were migrated to use the self-service PCI ASV capabilities available in Fortra VM.
- This includes external network scanning, web application scanning, PCI disputes, and PCI ASV compliance reports.
- Customers can now authenticate to the Alert Logic console and Fortra VM with a single Fortra login because of the integration with the Fortra Identity Provider.
- Security Awareness Training – Terranova Security’s Security Awareness Platform offers clients continual improvements to ensure they attain their cyber security goals and build a security-aware organizational mindset. In addition to several enhancements to improve ease of use, Terranova Security has also released the following:
- Terranova Security’s awareness training platform now includes an added QR code feature for phishing simulations that contributes additional flexibility for creating campaigns.
- The new dynamic campaign enrollment type for campaigns has been added to the platform to allow participants to enroll into campaigns based on the Security Awareness Index and phishing simulation results.
- To create more flexibility when creating campaigns, admins can now copy campaigns, add training content in ongoing campaigns, and more.
