HelpSystems (now Fortra) Adds New EDIFACT and Global Support for MFT Solution

MINNEAPOLIS August 22, 2019 – As the fastest-growing MFT solution in the world, HelpSystems recognized an increasing need for worldwide compatibility. As a result, GoAnywhere is now EDIFACT compatible. GoAnywhere’s support for the global EDIFACT standard allows you to read and write EDIFACT files in GoAnywhere with trading partners all over the world.

“EDIFACT (Electronic Data Interchange for Administration, Commerce and Transport), although used worldwide, is primarily an international standard. While EDI X12 is widely used in the United States, customers often still use EDIFACT to do business with international companies,” said Bob Luebbe, GoAnywhere General Manager at HelpSystems. “We now support about 8,000 file formats, available all in our marketplace.”

As a leader in the file transfer sector, HelpSystems is dedicated to meeting the needs of its global customers. GoAnywhere is currently available in an array of languages: Spanish, German, French Japanese, Portuguese, Indonesian, Chinese, and Danish.

Along with new EDIFACT support and language translation, new admin log updates are enhancing GoAnywhere’s overall security and helping GoAnywhere prepare to earn Common Criteria certification, anticipated in 2020.

In addition, the new GoAnywhere app on iOS now gives you secure mail and collaboration features on Apple devices, and you can now create custom-branded PDF reports with custom footer text and logos for all your reporting needs.

GoAnywhere version 6.2 is now available to the public. Learn more at
