Her core areas of expertise include malicious webpage analysis and malware investigation.
Aranzazu has three years of experience in the cybersecurity industry. Prior to joining Fortra, she worked as a freelance scam researcher and malware analyst, conducting in‑depth investigations into complex scam campaigns, including a large‑scale operation targeting Fiverr users for credit card theft. Her background also includes analyzing and building malware from scratch to better understand adversary techniques and tooling.
She specializes in malware development for ethical research, malware analysis, web application analysis, and identifying online threats such as scam pages and phishing emails. Aranzazu is a strong advocate for a free yet secure internet and is passionate about protecting users by understanding how cybercriminals think and operate.
Outside of cybersecurity, she enjoys drawing, music, and the arts, including theater, opera, musicals, and film.
