Cadence Riddle
Cadence Riddle is a Cybersecurity Researcher at Fortra, where he investigates business email compromise (BEC) attacks and other social engineering–driven threats. His work focuses on analyzing attacker infrastructure and tactics, developing custom tooling to process adversary data, and researching emerging techniques to improve detection and response capabilities across the security landscape.
Cadence joined Fortra in June 2025 as a Software Development Intern, where he built security-focused solutions including ASN-based login detection systems and automated Sigma rule generation. He later transitioned into his current role on the research side, applying both engineering and analytical skills to better understand and disrupt real-world attack campaigns.
Before Fortra, Cadence worked at FanDuel as a Customer Support Specialist, gaining hands-on experience in problem-solving and customer-facing operations. Cadence holds a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from the University of South Florida.
