MINNEAPOLIS — January 21, 2026—Fortra, a global cybersecurity software and services provider, announced today the acquisition and strategic integration of Red Macros Factory (RMF), an Initial Access Framework designed to streamline the weaponization stage of red team engagements.
RMF represents three years of research-driven development by red team operator Mariusz Banach, working to reduce the time, resources, and human error involved in gaining initial access to test an environment.
“RMF accelerates initial access payload generation from days to minutes,“ said Banach. “It’s built for teams lacking the bandwidth for deep internal R&D, offering production-ready, obfuscated, fully-weaponized payloads, and offers multiple attack strategies, tactics, and file format vectors.”
Banach will also be joining Fortra’s Outflank, the team that develops and maintains Outflank Security Tooling (OST). He brings with him the RMF functionality that will be integrated into OST later this year.
“Adding this framework to OST is a natural fit. It aligns with our continued goals to reduce friction so testers can spend less time on tooling and process overhead, and more time on the creative, strategic, and adaptive elements that drive successful complex red team engagements,” said Stan Hegt, Outflank Co-founder and Team Lead.
Fortra CEO Matthew Reck explained that the acquisition of RMF highlights Fortra’s commitment both to offensive tooling and talent. “Investing in and acquiring creator-focused talent underscores our broader commitment to offensive security, not just as a capability, but as a discipline,” said Reck. “By having dedicated creators focused on designing, refining, and evolving red team tooling, we reinforce our long-term investment in advancing offensive security as a core strategic strength of the organization.”
