MINNEAPOLIS — 18 March, 2022 — Fortra today announced that Chief People Officer Joanna Leach has been named a 2022 Women in Business Honoree in the Minneapolis/St. Paul Business Journal’s annual Women in Business Awards. The award recognizes a select group of women for their outstanding professional achievements, leadership qualities, and contributions to the Twin Cities community. 

Joanna joined Fortra as Vice President of HR in 2015, becoming Chief People Officer in 2020. During her tenure, Joanna has supervised the hiring and onboarding of many new teammates, helping the company grow from 300 employees in four countries to 3,000 in more than 30 today. Throughout this period of record growth, Joanna has driven a unified organizational culture while also preserving key local customs and traditions for new geographies and offices.

Joanna is an executive partner on the company’s Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) Council. She also oversees the HelpBrigade, the global, volunteer-based company program focused on employee wellbeing across social, physical, financial, emotional, and intellectual pillars.
