Network Automation, Inc., today announced an OEM program for its flagship Automate product, the only software platform that automates hundreds of business and IT processes via drag-and-drop without the need to write code. Automate's functionality can now be embedded into any IT or business software package - including network/system monitoring products, job schedulers, and integration platforms - to eliminate repetitive manual processes and accelerate information flows across the enterprise or supply chain.
The company's first OEM partner is GlobalSCAPE, a provider of managed file transfer products enabling secure exchange of critical information over public networks. Automate powers the new Advanced Workflow Engine add-on module for GlobalSCAPE's EFT (Enhanced File Transfer) Server, a secure file transfer solution that provides businesses with a value-added alternative to leased lines, VANs, VPNs and homegrown systems.
Using Automate's intuitive drag-and-drop task-building interface, the Advanced Workflow Engine enables GlobalSCAPE's customers to easily build complex workflows that leverage and extend EFT Server's core functionality. File transfers can now become part of a larger, cost-saving process that includes rule-based file automation (copy, move, delete, compression, encryption, synchronization, etc.); automated data extraction (including XML parsing and Microsoft Excel integration); automated database integration (SQL Server, Oracle, mySQL or any ODBC-compliant database); and more - all without coding or scripting.
"EFT Server has always offered more than basic file transfer, but partnering with Network Automation allows us to transform the product into a file-related business process automation platform," said Tim Barton, Vice President and team leader of EFT Server products for GlobalSCAPE. "The Advanced Workflow Engine module will save our customers both time and money as they develop workflows to streamline and automate complex processes involving file transfer."
"Our OEM program gives software vendors an opportunity to add significant value to their products. This is clearly illustrated in the GlobalSCAPE partnership," said Dustin Snell, CEO of Network Automation. "Instead of selling point solutions, vendors can now offer a complete platform for automating virtually any operation related to their core product without requiring programming expertise. This offers a strong competitive advantage for software solutions of many kinds."
Automate enables IT staff to quickly and easily build tasks that streamline and automate batch file processing, application integration, job scheduling, database transactions, FTP transfers, Excel functions, Active Directory operations, and beyond. All actions are pre-programmed and all tasks are described in plain English, enabling configuration by IT staff without programming skills. Workflow sequences are assembled by selecting tasks from a menu and dragging and dropping them in their logical execution order.
The new OEM version can be easily embedded into other software products and is available immediately from Network Automation.
