Daud Jawad
Daud is a Security Engineer on Fortra’s Intelligence & Threat Management (ITM) team, where he tracks active and emerging threats, develops detections, and implements mitigations. His work bridges threat intelligence and phishing defense, combining a purple team mindset with deep technical expertise.
Daud began his career at Fortra four years ago as a Technical Support Engineer in the Email Security department, later joining the Corporate Security team as a SOC analyst before transitioning into his current ITM role. He continues to work closely with the SOC team and support threat detection efforts across the security space.
Before Fortra, Daud worked in a variety of technical roles, including Quality Assurance Tester for Electronic Arts (FIFA), Mobile Applications Developer, and International Service Delivery Engineer at Ticketmaster. His background spans software testing, app development, and IT/security operations, always with a focus on finding flaws, improving processes, and strengthening defenses.
He holds a BSc (Hons) in Computer Science with a specialization in Cybersecurity and Artificial Intelligence from Brunel University London.
