Cyber Daily: Report: Business email compromise attacks surged dangerously in April

The latest threat research from Fortra Intelligence and Research Experts (FIRE) was featured in a Cyber Daily article examining the rapid surge in business email compromise (BEC) attacks observed in April. Drawing from FIRE’s BEC Global Insights Report, the article reports a 151% month‑over‑month increase in BEC activity, driven largely by advance‑fee fraud, gift card scams, cryptocurrency requests, and wire transfer attacks.
