Josh Davies
Josh Davies is a Principal Market Strategist at Fortra. As a subject matter expert for Managed Detection and Response (MDR), Josh helps drive Fortra XDR’s go-to-market strategy and service development.
Josh joined Fortra through the acquisition of Alert Logic in 2022, where he served as a Security Analyst and later transitioned into a Solutions Architect role, using his security experience to work with organizations to identify appropriate security solutions. He has extensive experience working with mid-market and enterprise organizations; conducting incident response and threat hunting activities. In his current product marketing role at Fortra, Josh remains closely involved with security operations and threat intelligence initiatives.
Josh firmly advocates that only through a collaborative approach to cyber defense, where security best practices, challenges, and threat intelligence are shared, will the industry overcome the scale of the threat it faces. In an effort to relieve the skills shortage, Josh also helps educate and equip those looking to enter the cybersecurity profession.
Josh has presented at conferences such as DTeX, Future of Cyber Security, and AWS re:inforce, and has written for publications such as TechTarget, Business Telegraph, and Infosecurity Magazine. He holds a Law LLB and MA in Classics and Ancient History from the University of Exeter, and is a keen traveller, rugby player and music enthusiast.
